Nagpur. Municipal Corporation has to do the work of connecting the 700 mm water channel of the Medical Hospital with the 600 mm water channel near Mokshadham Ghat. Interconnection work will be done from 10 am on Thursday to Friday morning, due to which the Municipal Corporation informed about non-availability of water supply to Medical College, Ajni Railway and SEC Railway, Tata Capital, Indiranagar Slum, Jattrodi, Rajabaksha. It is said that after the afternoon of February 24, the water supply will be normal. Due to the 24-hour shutdown, the Municipal Corporation also informed that water supply through tanker is not possible.
Water supply will be enabled in Nehru Nagar and Lakadganj zones
It is said that for the purpose of enabling water supply to Nehru Nagar Zone and Lakadganj Zone, Municipal Corporation and OCW recently laid a 4.2 kilometer long 800 mm water channel from Shatabdi Chowk (Ring Road) to Sakkardara tank. Sakkardara tank will now be directly connected to Godhani Pench-4 water purification center through this aqueduct, which will supply 17 million (17 MLD) more water to the settlements of Nehru Nagar zone and Lakadganj zone under the three tanks located at Sakkardara.

It is said that recently the work of flushing (cleanliness) of 4.2 km water channel has been completed, due to which the Municipal Corporation and OCW have decided to implement the water channel from the midnight of 23 February. Till now all the three tanks of Sakkdara used to get water supply from Kanhan water purification center, now a new water channel is being added which will supply water through screw.
