On looking at the statistics of the administration, the apprehension of water crisis has been expressed in 1932 villages of 4 districts of the division, in view of which proposals for remedial plans are being made in the villages. The proposal of Akola district has not yet been received by the divisional office. Information about the water crisis arising in the villages of Amravati, Yavatmal, Buldhana and Washim districts included in the division has been sent to the Divisional Commissioner. According to the proposal, information about the possible expenditure has also been sent, under which the remedial plan will be done. In which there is information about making a provision of 20 crores.
First phase from October 22
The first phase of water crisis lasts from 22 October to December 2022, the second phase from January to March 2023 and the third phase from April to June. 3 villages in Phase I in Amravati, 369 in Phase II and 241 in Phase III, 405 in Phase II and 354 in Buldhana, 73 in Phase II and 187 in Phase III and 67 in Phase II and 3 in Washim district Water scarcity is estimated in 233 villages in the first phase.
This action plan will be implemented
In villages where there is water crisis, repair of existing tap scheme, repair of borewells, new borewells, acquisition of public wells, deepening of wells, acquisition of private wells, tanker water supply and new water supply schemes will be completed. Funds will be made available by the government for these works.
