Atiq Ahmed’s family would probably be the only family in the state, whose all adult members are either in jail or rewarded. Atiq was survived only by his wife Shaista and two minor sons. On Saturday, the police declared a reward of 25 thousand on Shaista as well. Atiq Ahmed is survived by wife Shaista Parveen and brother Ashraf, besides five sons.
Never had such bad days come upon the family. Atiq Ahmed has 187 cases registered against him. His brother Ashraf is also facing more than 50 cases. Elder sons Umar and Ali are also jailed in criminal cases. Not only Atiq, Ashraf and their sons were named in the Umesh Pal murder case, but a report was also filed against wife Shaista. In this case, the police has placed a reward of two and a half lakhs on Atiq’s third son Asad.
