If tubewell consumers want subsidy, then meters will have to be installed by March 31 under any circumstances. Consumers who do not install meters on tubewells will be deprived of electricity bill waiver.
There are 19 thousand tube well consumers in Hathras district. Tubewells and domestic lines have been made separate in many villages of the district. Villages where the lines are not separate. New lines will be laid in their villages under Revamp. Tubewells will be connected on the old line. Along with this, meters are being installed on tube wells to collect the consumption data.
Tubewell consumers of Hathras district are not taking interest in getting meters installed. Because of this only eight thousand consumers have got meters installed since January. Meter installation will be done by March 31. The 11,000 consumers who have not got their meters installed should get them installed within 19 days.
XEN Pramod Kushwaha says that only the consumers whose meters will be installed by March 31 will get the benefit of subsidy. Those who do not install meters will be deprived of subsidy.
