Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Ganga Vilas Cruise on January 13 at 10.30 am to travel on the longest waterway. About one thousand people will witness this historic event in the program organized at Ravidas Ghat. After this, after the inauguration of the tent city, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will inform about the action plan of the Waterways Authority.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address will be followed by the welcome speech by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After the program of about an hour, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will visit the tent city across the Ganga.
Tourists staying in the tent city will also get the facility of a pool in the floating jetty for safe Ganga bath. By taking a dip in the artificial pool made in the river Ganges, tourists will also live in a safe environment with faith. A floating bath jetty is being built along with the tent city, which will be ready before January 15. Changing rooms are also being made near this pool.
Those tourists staying in the tent city who do not know how to swim, will also be able to take a safe bath in the Ganges. A portion of the jetty meant for tourists to reach the tent city is being developed as a floating pool. About 20 to 25 people will be able to take a safe bath in a pool about 20 feet long and 20 feet wide.
Himanshu Agarwal, Managing Director of Lalluji and Sons, which is building a cluster of Tent City, said that a floating bath pool is being built for pilgrims and Ganga bathers to take a safe dip. Prolina Barara, Executive Director of Tent City Praveg Communications (India) Limited, which is constructing in two clusters, said that the floating bath pool will be completely safe for people of all ages.
Before the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government employees will do a one-day trial in the tent city. In this, they will stay for one night and report on the shortcomings there, so that the tourists do not have to face those problems.
