Chandur Bazar (No.) 3 smugglers have been caught doing black marketing of ration grains from the ration shop of Sarfapur village of Tehsil. The accused arrested in this case are Mohammad Mohsin Mohammad Afsar (21), Irfan Khan Amanullah Khan (45), Shahrukh Shah (20, all three Talegaon Mohana). In this case, on the basis of the complaint given by officer Sonali Shinde, due to non-receipt of any kind of documents related to food grains from the concerned persons, the police have registered a case under the Essential Commodities Act and further investigation is going on.

Action of police, supply department

While taking the vehicle number MH 31 CQ 9820 towards the open market, the villagers caught hold of it and informed the Shirjgaon police station and supply department. Shirjgaon police squad and supply officer Sarfapur immediately reached the spot and investigated. In which the matter of black marketing of ration was exposed here. Sharad Ghulakshe was seen filling the ration grains in the vehicle. When the villagers got suspicious, they inquired, then they were told that we were carrying sacks of tur. But when the villagers examined the vehicle, they found wheat and rice in it. Shirazgaon SHO Prashant Geete, Suresh Dhakade, Amol Mankar, along with supply inspection officer Sonali Shinde, examined the vehicle and found 17 quintals of 42 kg rice in it, the market price of which was Rs 60,970. is being told. 41 kg of wheat whose market price is Rs 902, ration worth Rs 61872 was seized.

Distribution of 5 kg food grains instead of 35 kg

Under the Antyodaya scheme, 5 kg food grains were distributed to the beneficiaries. Later, the citizens came to know that under the Antyodaya Yojana, 35 kg food grains were to be distributed as per rules. 30 kg of food grains per ration card, where was the grain being sold after all the haggling. Local citizens are now asking such a question.

Demand for action on ration shopkeeper

The ration shopkeeper is responsible for black marketing of ration grains. That’s why the residents of Sarfapur have now submitted a memorandum to Tehsildar Dheeraj Sthul, demanding action against him. In this case, the Tehsildar assured the concerned memorandum makers that the matter will be thoroughly investigated and appropriate action will be taken against the culprits.
