STF has traced the WhatsApp group ‘Sher-e-Ateeq’ of Asad Ahmed, son of absconding mafia Ateeq Ahmed in the Umesh Pal murder case. STF picked up two people belonging to this group on Sunday. Asad was the admin of this group. In this, 56 people from 14 districts were involved and were exchanging messages among themselves. It is being said that the connection of the people picked up by the STF could also be related to the Umesh Pal murder case. Police was also there during the arrest, but it is not being officially confirmed. On February 24, Umesh Pal, the main witness of the Raju Pal murder case, and his two government gunners were shot and bombed in Prayagraj.
Mafia Atiq’s son Asad is also seen firing in the CCTV camera installed in Umesh Pal’s house. The police have named Umesh Pal on the basis of his wife’s complaint. During investigation, it was found that Asad had created a WhatsApp group named Sher-e-Ateeq. In this group, 56 people from 14 districts of the state were connected and used to message among themselves. However, this group was deleted a few days before the Umesh Pal murder case.
