The main roads of Hathras have become very dilapidated. Boulders, gravel, stones are spread far and wide on the road. The situation is that it has become difficult to walk even a few steps on these routes. In the process of passing quickly, the vehicles jump into the pits and fall, due to which the passengers along with the vehicle riders get injured.
There are many potholes on many routes including Hathras Jalesar Marg, Sasni-Iglas Marg, Baru Jhingura, Jogia. Many a times the exercise of their repair started and died only on paper. Sometimes the budget was not approved, sometimes the tender process was not completed and sometimes the contractor did not do the repair work. As a result, one has to walk very carefully on these routes. An accident happens if you miss a little sight. One has to be very careful on these routes. Now the government level has given approval for special repair of 24 roads in the district. For this, a budget of Rs 12 crore has also been received from the government.
When will the days of 16 kilometers end, the villagers of 20 villages are worried
Talking about the Hathras-Jalesar road, there are deep potholes on the road for many years. Even to cover the distance on this route, the common man has to travel full of hiccups. No one is paying attention to improving the condition of this road. This road is of one lane. There is a lot of vehicular traffic on this route. People cover the distance of Firozabad, Jalesar by this route. This route also serves to connect people to the city.
Sasni Iglas Marg dilapidated, vehicles overturned every day
The foundation stone has also been laid on the road from Sasni to Iglas. After the foundation stone laying, the construction work has not started on this route till date. Vehicles overturn every day on the road. On Saturday too, an e-rickshaw overturned on this route. The people riding in it were injured. But after several months, the road is in a dilapidated condition till today. There is resentment among the regional people regarding this.
The path is not smooth even after the pothole liberation campaign
Baru Jhingura, Jogia Marg also in bad condition Baru Jhingura of Chandpa area and Jogia Marg adjacent to the city have also become dilapidated at many places. People of many villages cover the distance on this route. Repairs were also done on this route under the Pothole Liberation Campaign. Even after this the path on the path is not smooth. Due to this people are facing difficulties in traveling the distance.
A budget of about Rs 12 crore has been issued by the government for the repair of roads. Now the tender process is going on. Soon the work of repairing the roads will be started. – Rajesh Nigam, XEN, Public Works Department
