New Delhi: The Central Election Commission today announced the assembly elections of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland or the three states of Northeast India. 2023 is the year for the first assembly elections.

The term of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly ends on 12 March, the term of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly ends on 15 March and the term of the Tripura Legislative Assembly ends on 22 March. In the year 2018, elections would have been held in both the phases in all the three states. And on March 3, 2018, the daily results would have been published. This year polling will be held in Tripura on 16th March, and in Meghalaya and Nagaland on 27th February. In all the three states, Matomojani will be held on 2nd March.

Tripura – Last year the BJP would have achieved such a historic victory. He would have taken away the power of the Left Front in the state for 25 years. BJP won 35 seats in the year 2018. With the help of Swadeshi People’s Front of Tripura, he won 43 seats out of 59. Biplab Deb would have been given the chief minister’s post. In 2022, Deb’s birthday would have been hearty in the hands of Manik Sah.

Meghalaya – In the year 2018, the National People’s Party and the BJP together would have established power in Meghalaya. The Congress had won the maximum 21 seats in the elections. But BJP established power by gathering other parties. Konrad Sangma of NPP is the Chief Minister of the state.

Nagaland – NDPP and BJP would have established government in the state in 2018. NDPP won 18 seats and BJP won 12 seats. Neiphiu Rio became the Chief Minister of the state.
