Tiwari told that some scrap mafia has become active in the city’s garbage collecting AG and BVG companies, who, in connivance with the company’s employees, illegally separate the collected waste before it reaches the Bhandewadi dumping yard. . Then by selling it, they are earning lakhs of rupees. On the other hand, around 250 ragpickers who run their homes by picking garbage in the dumping yard have been cut off from earning. Because of this, they have come to the point of dying of hunger.

Tiwari said that the officials of AG and BVG companies are also aware of the theft of junk from the garbage being collected from all over the city. In a way, this is economic exploitation of ragpickers. He warned that if this exploitation is not stopped by the company, Shiv Sena will launch an intense agitation at Bhandewadi dumping yard.
He demanded health checkup and PPE kit for ragpickers. After listening to the whole thing, Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi assured to take immediate action. Along with this, instructions were given to the Deputy Commissioner of Garbage for health checkup of ragpickers and giving PPE kits. During this, a large number of Shiv Sainiks including Munna Tiwari, Ankush Bhowate, Padma Bhowate, Gyanlata Gupta, Shivshankar Mishra, Pritam Kapse, Shashidhar Tiwari, Sabir Khan, Lawrence Gregory, Abbas Ali were present.
