A major accident has taken place in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. There was a huge collision between two cars on the highway. The couple and son died in the accident. While two were injured. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
According to information, two cars collided head-on on Wednesday morning near Rehmat Ali Ka Purva village of Manikpur police station area on the Lucknow-Prayagraj highway.
Rahul Srivastava (35), his wife Prachi Srivastava (30), son Arshdeep (10), a resident of Georgetown, Prayagraj, died on the spot. While three-year-old daughter Aavaya and Rajesh Srivastava of Prayagraj Georgetown, a passenger in the second car, were injured.
All were taken to the local hospital. After the incident, the police reached the spot with the help of the villagers and pulled out the people trapped in the badly damaged car. The bodies of all three were sent for postmortem.
