A major accident was averted on Tuesday in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. Here the Ganga Gomti Express train survived the accident. Actually, Ganga Gomti Express was going from Prayagraj to Lucknow. Meanwhile, the engine of Ganga Gomti Express left the train midway and moved ahead.

This split the train into two parts. Leaving the coach, the engine went 200 meters ahead. Fortunately, a major accident was averted. The incident took place near Ramchaura Road station. After getting the information, the passengers got out of the train. The incident happened around 6:30 am on Tuesday morning.

It is being told that this incident happened due to breakage of coupling. At present, the technical team of the railway has repaired it. After about 2 hours the train left for Lucknow.

According to the information, Ganga Gomti Express left Prayagraj Sangam Railway Station for Lucknow at 5:40 am on Tuesday. After stoppages at Prayag Junction and Phaphamau Junction, the next stoppage of the train was Lalgopalganj. Meanwhile, the passengers got a jolt near Ramchaura Road. It was later learned that the engine of the train had moved along with a coach.

The remaining 14 coaches were left behind. Meanwhile, the guard and driver of the train got down and checked and found that the coupling of the LHB coach which was attached to the train was broken. Its information was given to the Lucknow Express Control Room. During this, the power supply on the OHE line was stopped.

After the incident, all the passengers got down outside the train. Some even made a video of the entire incident and shared it on social media. After getting the information, the team of RPF and GRP reached the spot. During this, the technical team of the railway started the repair work and added the broken coupling.

Later the train left for Lalgopalganj around 8:30 pm. Due to the delay, the train could reach Unchahar at 11:30 am instead of 7:30 am. Regarding the incident, ADRM of Lucknow Division Ashwini Srivastava says that an inquiry will be conducted in this matter. Due to breakage of coupling, the matter of dividing the train into two parts has come to the fore.
