The country is celebrating its 74th Republic Day today. President Draupadi Murmu unfurled the tricolor at Rajpath. This year, Egyptian President Abled Fatah el-Sisi attended the Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest. Republic Day celebrations are also being seen in Varanasi.
Minister Ravindra Jaiswal hoisted the tricolor in the police line on Republic Day and also honored the police commissioner.
Harsh firing was done by the policemen during the parade.
District Magistrate S Rajalingam administered the oath after hoisting the flag at the court in Varanasi and also honored the girl students.
