Lakhs of devotees take a dip in the confluence of the Ganga-Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati on Vasant Panchami. The process of bathing had started from early morning itself. With the announcement of Har-Har Mahadev and Har-Har Ganga, devotees and Kalpavasis from all over the country took a dip in Triveni. Bathing arrangements have been made at a total of 17 ghats. The arrival of devotees had started in the Sangam area from Wednesday itself.

On Thursday, the bathing started from the morning itself. The security system has been tightened in the fair. Heavy police force has been deployed in all the five sectors. The Sangam beach is guarded by the paramilitary force. Due to Republic Day, the flag was hoisted in the camps of Kalpavasi and Tapaswis. The atmosphere is resonating with devotional as well as patriotic songs.
