Woman Subhavati Devi (50) wife Parikhon Gond resident of Thancha, Ratanpura district Mau died after jumping from a moving jeep on Friday afternoon near Garhiya railway crossing of Rasra-Mau road. Another woman, Munni Devi (45) wife Santosh resident of Karchi Parukha police station was injured.
Both the women were going to Parasia village in Rasda along with other passengers from Ballia after the mundan rites. Suddenly smoke coming out of the jeep near the railway crossing, scaring and fear of fire. Both the women jumped on the road from the moving jeep. Both were immediately rushed to Rasda Hospital, where doctors declared Subhavati brought dead, while the injured woman is being treated. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the hospital and took the dead body in their custody and sent it for postmortem.
