The Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency comprises the four assembly constituencies of the district namely Karhal, Kishni, Bhogaon and Sadar. SP candidate got maximum votes in Karhal assembly constituency. Her husband and SP national president Akhilesh Yadav is the MLA from here.
Dimple Yadav got a lead of 75 thousand 462 votes from Karhal. In Karhal, Dimple Yadav got one lakh 40 thousand 578 votes, while BJP candidate Raghuraj Singh Shakya got only 65116 votes. In every election, Samajwadi Party has been getting a bumper lead from Karhal in Mainpuri district. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, SP candidate Mulayam Singh Yadav got one lakh 41 thousand 68 votes in Karhal assembly constituency. While BJP candidate Shatrughan Singh had to satisfy with only 39352 votes. The SP candidate got an edge from here by more than one lakh votes.
Karhal has been a stronghold of the SP. Netaji worked as a teacher at the Jain Inter College in Karhal. Height increased in politics, but Netaji did not forget Karhal. Due to the popularity of Netaji, Karhal became a stronghold of the SP. SP national president Akhilesh Yadav reached the assembly only after winning the 2022 assembly elections from Karhal. Now once again the voters of Karhal gave a strong lead to SP candidate Dimple Yadav.
Mainpuri Sadar assembly seat was very important for BJP. The MLA from here Jaiveer Singh is the tourism minister in the Yogi cabinet. In such a situation, his reputation was also at stake. Every time the BJP has been getting good support from the city, but only cycles used to run in the rural areas. But the by-election results changed that. When the counting of votes started, SP candidate Dimple Yadav was ahead by 1526 votes in the first round itself. Dimple Yadav from Mainpuri Sadar Assembly Constituency got lead this time by 35982 votes, which further increased the margin of victory.
Lodhi and Shakya dominated Bhogaon assembly seat has always been beneficial for the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. Mulayam Singh Yadav himself also got less votes than the BJP candidate many times from this area. But this time the mind of the people here changed. Despite being a Shakya candidate from BJP, the voters showered a lot of love on the bicycle. Voters gave victory to Dimple Yadav from here too. Dimple Yadav got 25368 votes more than BJP candidate Raghuraj Singh.
