Here the public started disdaining the Maharashtra Integration Committee and the leaders of Maharashtra accused the Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai of deteriorating the environment in the border area.
In the meeting with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, information like keeping law and order uninterrupted, maintaining harmony in both the states, solving local problems by coordinating, Bommaini told. He said that a committee of five lawyers has been set up under the leadership of Mukul Rohitagi to represent Karnataka in the Supreme Court. Bommai said that he is ready to present Karnataka’s side in the Supreme Court efficiently and has set up an independent committee for border and water issues.
Meanwhile, the border issue between Maharashtra and Karnataka was resolved in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai along with Home Minister in the capital Delhi meeting last week. In the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra, there would have been construction of Seemavarun dispute. Or the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the Deputy Chief Minister, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, the Home Minister would have the say for the end of the promise and constitutional measures. A good discussion took place with both the parties in the presence of Home Department officials, as told by Amit Shah.
There are some other issues in both the states, three ministers will discuss them. Efforts will be made to maintain law and order in both the states. A senior police officer will be given the job for the security of migrants and businessmen, said Amit Shah.
