Aurangabad: Corona Pandemic has once again spread its wings in many countries including China and America. Regarding which information has been given to be alert at the country level. Meanwhile, the local Aurangabad Municipal Administration has started taking necessary steps to contain the spread of the pandemic. On Wednesday, after an inmate of Harsul Jail was found to be Corona Positive, the Municipal Administration is alert and once again trying to insist on testing.
Aurangabad Municipal Corporation’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Paras Mandlecha said that the administration has been alerted after a prisoner was found corona positive in Harsul Jail of the city on Wednesday. As a precautionary measure, necessary information has been given to the jail administration. The prisoner found positive has been kept in a separate cell of the jail. On the other hand, the Health Minister has given necessary information to the administration regarding the Corona epidemic. Under that, the municipal administration has started working. After the meeting of the Health Minister, instructions have been given to be ready to combat the corona epidemic by taking a meeting of all the doctors working in the Municipal Corporation and officials related to the Health Department.
Testing continues at 43 places even today
Mandlecha said that even after the effect of the corona epidemic has almost ended for the last one and a half years, the municipal administration is continuing the process of conducting covid tests of patients suspected of corona at 42 centers in the city as well as at the airport. If more corona patients are found, then the number of testing will be increased again by the administration. The health department is busy in taking necessary steps to prevent the spread of the epidemic. The Health Department of the Municipal Corporation has started efforts to provide relief to the citizens by taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of the epidemic in the areas where patients will be found.

Testing lab alerted
Municipal Corporation’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Paras Mandlecha told that when there was an effect of Corona epidemic in Aurangabad, testing was being done in the Corona Testing Lab of Bamu University apart from the lab of Government Valley Hospital. On Thursday itself, I visited the testing lab of Bamu University and informed to be ready for testing there again. The employees working there discussed the problem facing them for testing. Then Dr. Mandlecha gave him clear instructions to solve all the issues immediately and keep the lab ready for testing.
Municipal Corporation started all preparations
Dr. Mandlecha told that if the lab of Bamu University remains functional for 24 hours, testing of more than three thousand suspects can be done every day. Along with this, preparations have been started by the Municipal Corporation to provide all the facilities to the patients suspected of corona epidemic in the Meltran Hospital started during the Corona period in MIDC Chikalthana. There are easily available 350 ventilator beds, 10 ICU beds and all other modern facilities. Dr. Mandlecha said that suppose if the corona epidemic spreads in the city, then the necessary staff and doctors will have to be recruited immediately. The Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation has been informed about it.
