Chandauli won the weightlifting competition under Khelo India’s Dus Ka Dum on Friday at Domri village in Padav, Varanasi. While Varanasi remained at the second position. 42 women players from all over Purvanchal are participating in the competition. The competition organized by the District Weightlifting Association was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sabina Yadav, President of Uttar Pradesh Weightlifting Association and Vice President of UP Olympic Association. He said that Dus Ka Dum competition under Khelo India is being organized in only 10 districts in the country. Chandauli has also got a chance to host in this. Players from Chandauli, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Ballia, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Gorakhpur participated in the competition. Ghanshyam Yadav, Paras Yadav, Kamlesh Yadav etc remained in the jury.

She became a medalist

Competition was held in 40, 45, 49, 55, 59, 64, 71, 76, 81 kg weight categories in junior, sub-junior and senior categories. In this, Khushi Yadav of Jaunpur won gold medal, Radhika Yadav won silver, Sapna Yadav of Chandauli won gold, Ayushi Jaiswal won silver, Kanchan Yadav won bronze and Anupriya Yadav won gold, Neha Yadav won gold, Anjali Seth of Varanasi won gold, Chandauli’s Khushi Gupta won silver in junior, Sweety Yadav of Varanasi won bronze. Apart from this, Anu Yadav, Sanjana Yadav, Aradhana Yadav, Aaradhya Yadav, Khushi Kanojia also won medals.
