The Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2023 has further strengthened the new identity of Gorakshanagiri, which is being built as an industrial city. The figures of achievements of UP GIS are confirming this. Gorakhpur has been included in the top five ranking districts.
In terms of raising investment, Gorakhpur has been on the fourth position overall, leading Purvanchal among all the 75 districts of the state. Gorakhpur’s number is followed by Gautam Budh Nagar (1st), Agra (2nd) and Lucknow (3rd). Gorakhpur district has been ahead of Ghaziabad, Kanpur and Moradabad in attracting investment.
Gorakhpur has signed MoUs for investment of more than Rs 1.71 lakh crore in UP GIS. With its landing on the ground, the doors of employment will open for about 1.98 people. Along with traditional industries, many new sectors have also joined the investment going to be made in the district. For the first time investment is going to be made in the field of green and renewable energy.
