New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated the people of three northeastern states – Tripura, Manipur and Meghalaya on their Foundation Day. He said that Tripura and Manipur have witnessed progress and development over the years, while the people of Meghalaya have excelled in various fields.
Modi said that Manipur has been progressing on many counts during the last few years, wishing that the aspirations of its people are fulfilled and the state continues to strengthen India’s growth trajectory.
He said, “The last five years have been remarkable for the development path of Tripura. From agriculture to industry, from education to health, the state has seen a sea change in various sectors.
Greeting Meghalaya on its foundation day, the Prime Minister tweeted, “The state is known for its vibrant culture, especially its passion for music, arts and sports. The people of Meghalaya have excelled in various fields. I pray for the continued progress of Meghalaya in the years to come.”
