Ashoknagar. An 11-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well after hearing the news of her father’s death in Madhya Pradesh’s Ashoknagar district. The police gave this information on Saturday. An official said that the incident took place on Friday in Barkheda Jagir village under Ashoknagar Dehat police station area.
Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Dehat police station Pahlwan Chauhan said that Rambabu Dhakad, a resident of Barkheda Jagir village, complained of chest pain on Friday morning, after which his relatives took him to the district hospital. He said that on reaching the hospital, doctors declared Dhakad brought dead.
According to Chauhan, after relatives informed about Dhakad’s death over phone, his 11-year-old daughter left the house and did not return. He told that on searching, the girl’s body was found in a well. Police is investigating the incident by registering a case.
