Workshop on early warning of earthquake in BHU: Scientist said – Seismic process has an impact on the economy

The points related to seismology were discussed in detail in the ongoing seven-day workshop at the Geophysics Department of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Pro Vice Chancellor of Gopal Narayan University Jamuhar Sasaram Bihar as the chief guest at the closing ceremony. MK Singh said that the seismic process has an impact on human beings as well as on the economy. In such a situation, by getting the first warning of an earthquake, the damage caused by it can be reduced to a great extent.

Chief Guest Prof. MK Singh described the concept of earthquake in ancient way as the concept and discovery of present science as human development. Young scientists should work for the welfare of human society by working in the field of early warning.

IIT Roorkee seismologist Prof. ML Sharma also told about the ongoing earthquake promotion and the technology prepared by seismologists. It is said that the earthquake zone is being predicted by satellite. IIT Roorkee Scientist Prof. SC Gupta spoke about the research going on at IIT Roorkee in the field of seismology.

BHU Chief Proctor Prof. Abhimanyu Singh said that research in the field of science is the need of the hour. The program was presided over by Professor Gyan Prakash Singh. Program coordinator Dr. Rohtash explained in detail about the seven days program in the workshop. During this Dr. Birendra Pratap, Dr. Satya Prakash, Shivendra Ojha, research students Amritansh Rai, Ankit Singh, Ravikant Tiwari, Ayush, Pallav, Vipin Singh etc. were present.
