Unidentified miscreants killed a businessman by stabbing him on his neck on Friday night near Chandi Tirahe in Babhnauli village of Sadar Kotwali area in Sonbhadra. On Saturday, the dead body of late Dharmendra Pandey, son of Brajesh Pandey alias Deepu Pandey (40), was found lying on a blood-soaked cot. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Additional Superintendent of Police, CO and other officers reached the spot, took the dead body in possession and sent it to the district hospital for postmortem.
According to the police, Brijesh Pandey alias Deepu Pand, son of late Dharmendra Pandey, resident of Burhar Kala, presently lived in his house at Chandi Tiraha Babhanoli. His wooden stall is in Babhanoli itself. Tall and house are in the same complex. Deepu was shocked to see the blood-soaked dead body on the cot in the verandah on Saturday morning. He had been stabbed several times on his neck. Information about the incident is available with the force, Kotwal Balmukund Mishra, outpost in-charge Sanjay Singh reached the spot. Shortly after, Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Shankar Mishra, CO Rahul Pandey also reached the spot and got involved in the investigation. At the time of the incident, the deceased’s wife Aradhana was sleeping with her two daughters and a son in another room. On the other hand, after getting information about the matter, Sadar MLA Bhupesh Choubey, BJP district president Ajit Choubey, former chairman Vijay Jain and other leaders also reached the spot. ASP says that efforts are being made to reveal how the murder took place.
