This year, the second ‘Vinayak Chaturthi’ (Vinayak Chaturthi) fast of Falgun month is on Thursday, 23 February. According to the Panchang, the Chaturthi that falls in both the fortnights of every month is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. That’s why it is known as Vinayaka Chaturthi.

According to the scriptures, on the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, sadhaks should take bath-meditate in Brahma Muhurta and prepare for worship by remembering Lord Ganesha. After this wear red clothes, this is because this color is very dear to Ganapati ji. Clean the idol of Lord Ganesha thoroughly during the worship period and then install his idol by laying a new cloth on a post. After this, worship Ganapati ji with Shodshopachar method and keep chanting the original mantra of Vighnaharta. Make sure to recite Shri Ganesh Stotra and Ganesh Chalisa during the worship period. In the end, perform aarti of Ganesh ji and apologize for the mistakes made due to ignorance.
