A strange case came to light on Thursday in Shahganj Tehsil premises of Jaunpur. A young man who came from Varanasi to marry the fourth was beaten up by the first three wives together. There was an atmosphere of commotion for hours in the tehsil premises itself. Later, the police arrived and called both the parties to the police station and pacified the matter. The wives allege that the young man married everyone by cheating and later left.
A youth resident of Pathani Tola, located in Adampur police station area of Varanasi, is accused of three marriages. The women who beat up the young man who came on the date allege that the first wife is a resident of Erakiana in Shahganj. The second wife is from Jajmau of Kanpur and the third wife is from Azamgarh. The three wives allege that the young man married first, but left when the children were born. Now he is about to tie the knot with the fourth. He also has a 13-year-old son from his first wife. In-charge Inspector Sadanand Rai told that there is a mutual dispute. The matter is being investigated by calling both the parties.
