Mahfuz Alam (24), who lives near a water tank in Jhabra (Jalalpur), Varanasi, hanged himself on Monday after making a video call to his girlfriend. After getting the information, the police of Jansa police station reached and took possession of Mahfuz’s mobile and informed his family members about the incident. Along with this, his body was sent for postmortem.

Mahfuz Alam, a resident of Kareli GTV Nagar of Prayagraj, came in contact with Dinesh Gupta, a resident of Jhabra (Jalalpur) three years ago. He used to make packets to pack sweets while staying at Dinesh’s place. He had gone to his home a week ago and came back three days ago.

Mahfooz was upset after returning from home

Dinesh told that he was upset after coming back from home. After having dinner on Monday afternoon, he went to his room. In the evening, when Dinesh’s son came to give tea to Mahfooz, he saw that he was hanging from the fan’s latch with a rope noose. The video call was on on his mobile and five photos of a girl have also been recovered from him.
