In the case of raping his own nine-year-old daughter, the court of Special Judge (Poxo Act) Anutosh Kumar Sharma found the accused Arun Kumar, a resident of Lanka police station area, guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 51 thousand on the accused. The court has ordered that 80 percent of the amount of the fine be given to the victim. According to Special Public Prosecutor Madhukar Upadhyay, Vadini, a resident of Lanka police station area, lodged an FIR at Lanka police station that she has four sons and a daughter and she works as a cook in people’s homes. It was alleged that her husband accused used to misbehave with her daughter after going to her work and threatened to kill her if she told anyone. When her daughter narrated her ordeal to her crying, she objected to her husband and he became enraged. After which her husband started threatening to kill her and her children. Fearing this, Vadini sent her daughter to her parents at her maternal home. On getting information about the matter, the police registered a case, arrested the accused and sent them to jail, along with medical examination of the victim and recorded a written statement in the court. The court found the accused guilty after trial and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
