DGP’s commendation will be given to the team which shot the constable and shot the miscreants who looted the pistol in Varanasi. DGP Devendra Singh Chauhan has announced this. Outgoing Police Commissioner of Varanasi A. Satish Ganesh has also been given a citation.
According to the information, on November 8, sub-inspector Ajay Yadav was shot and snatched from his official pistol in the Rohaniyan police station area of Varanasi. Disclosing this matter, the Crime Branch of Varanasi and Baragaon police together killed two miscreants Rajneesh and Manish, who had looted the pistol, in an encounter.

While honoring the team involved in this encounter, the DGP has decided to honor it with Commendation Disc Platinum, Gold and Silver. In this, Inspector-in-charge of Badagaon police station Ashwani Kumar Dwivedi will be given platinum, crime branch inspector Anjani Kumar Pandey, surveillance cell constables Diwakar Vats and Santosh Yadav will be given gold discs.
Apart from this, Sub Inspector Brijesh Mishra, Raj Kumar Pandey, Prashant Pandey, Satyam Yadav, Head Constable Umesh Singh, Rakesh Singh, Constable Suraj Singh, Neeraj Maurya, Virendra Yadav, Shivbabu, Mrityunjay Singh, Balmukund Maurya, Ashish Singh, Kamal Kumar Prajapati, Mohit Gupta and Sangam Yadav will be awarded with Silver Disc. An order in this regard has been issued by DGP’s General Staff Officer N Ravinder.
