Deen Dayal Upadhyaya District Hospital, located in Pandeypur, Varanasi, has now been given the Eco-Friendly Award after the Rejuvenation Award, ENQUAS certification. The hospital has got the first position in the state with 93.81 per cent marks. CMS Dr. RK Singh has described the award as a big achievement. Under the award, the hospital will also get an amount of Rs 10 lakh.
Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttar Pradesh, has sent a letter of eco-friendly award to Dr. RK Singh, CMS of Deendayal Hospital. Dr. RK Singh said that it is a matter of pleasure that the hospital is getting awards one after the other. This is the result of better efforts of all the doctors and staff.
Highest 93.81 percent marks in the state
Divisional Advisor, Quality Assurance, Dr. RP Solanki said that the hospital has obtained the highest score of 93.81 percent in the state by fulfilling all the standards set by the government for the Eco Friendly Award (2022-23) under the cleanliness campaign. An amount of Rs 10 lakh will be provided to the hospital which will be spent on the facilities for the patients.
He told that the three-level evaluation includes management of biomedical waste, active operation of sewer treatment plant, cleanliness outside the boundary wall, plantation in the hospital, quality and availability of drinking water, etc.
The hospital has met all the standards including solar panels, LED bulbs, better rated electric goods, keeping computers and electrical equipment off without use, plastic ban, rain water harvesting, garbage management.
