Swami Vivekananda raised the prestige of India in the world and paved the way for peace through spirituality. Kashi was also the inspiration behind this spiritual power of Swami Vivekananda. It was the light of Kashi which was spread by Swami Vivekananda in the whole world with his knowledge. He had a deep connection with Kashi and had visited many times. Senior journalist Amitabh Bhattacharya told that Swami Ramakrishna Mission’s self. Swami Seniorianand had told that Swami Vivekananda had come to Kashi many times.

When he came out after visiting the Vishwanath temple during the Kashi Yatra, he saw that some monkeys were creating a ruckus in front of him. In those days Swamiji used to wear a long tunic and used to tie a turban on his head. He had books and papers in his pockets. Seeing the full pockets, the monkeys were confused that there was food in them and they followed them.

Seeing the monkeys coming after him, Swamiji got scared and started walking fast. The monkeys also increased their speed and Swamiji started running. The monkeys also started running behind. Swami ji could not understand what to do, the monkeys were not taking the name of leaving him. He was covered in sweat because of fear, but no one came to his aid. Everyone watched the show like spectators.

That’s why Swami ji heard a loud voice from the crowd. Don’t run… as soon as these words reached Swamiji’s ears. they stopped. They realized that when we run away fearing disaster, it chases us faster. If she is confronted with courage, she hides her face and runs away. What was it then they turned and stood up boldly. Seeing them, even the monkeys stood up. After standing for a while, all the monkeys returned. That day brought a new turn in Swamiji’s life. After that, he did not hesitate to see the evils of the society and faced them with courage.
