On the last day i.e. Friday in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, a different scene was seen regarding the more than 18-year-old case of beating former MLA Salil Bishnoi. After a full 58 years, the assembly turned into a court room, hearing was also held and the verdict was also pronounced. The matter is of September 2004. Five policemen, including former deputy SP Abdul Samad, were found guilty of breach of privilege in the case and were sentenced to one day’s imprisonment.
