In the type test of Review Officer (RO) / Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Recruitment Exam-2022, the candidates have demanded re-conduct of the type test with the complaint of being given bad keyboards. In this case, the candidates had also approached the court. The final selection result of the exam is stuck as the controversy escalates.
The preliminary examination, main examination and type test were also conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission for the recruitment of 354 posts of RO / ARO. The Computer Based Type Test was held from 11 to 14 October in a private institute located in Jhalwa. In this, the candidates declared successful in the main examination for recruitment to the posts of ARO participated.
During the type test, the candidates had complained about being given old and defective key boards. The keyboards of many candidates were changed, but they were also not working properly. Some keyboard’s shift and some’s space, back space, control and code buttons were not working properly. The candidates had given an application to the commission and also registered their complaint, demanding the type test to be conducted again.
When the hearing was not held in the Commission, the candidates filed a petition in the High Court. According to the candidates, the court handed over the responsibility of disposal of the case to the commission. After this the candidates approached the commission. Commission’s secretary Alok Kumar was also met, but the situation in this matter has not yet been clarified by the Commission.
Candidates say that after hard work in preliminary and main examination they reached the type test. The candidates were practicing the type test for a long time. If they do not get success due to bad keyboard, then all their hard work will go in vain. At the same time, two months are going to be completed for the type test, the commission has not yet declared the result. Usually the result comes within a month after the type test. It is believed that the result is stuck due to this dispute.
