Action has been taken under the National Security Act (Rasuka) against two accused of burning copies of Ramcharitmanas in Vrindavan Colony of Lucknow on January 29 last. This action has been taken on the already jailed accused Salim and Satyendra Kushwaha.
A case was registered against ten including former minister Swami Prasad Maurya at the PGI police station for burning copies of Ramcharitmanas in protest against cattle. Five of these have been arrested.
District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar on Sunday issued the detention order under Rasuka against Salim of Uttarethia and Satyendra Kushwaha of Sainiknagar who are lodged in jail.
Same action against other three arrested accused
According to ADCP Purvi Ali Abbas, the same action will soon be taken against the other three accused arrested in the case Yashpal Singh Lodhi of Alambagh, Devendra Pratap Yadav of South City and Naresh Singh of Telibagh.
