The SP has stepped up preparations for the election of five seats in the graduate and teacher section of the Legislative Council. State President Naresh Uttam Patel himself has taken over the command of the major election districts. Other senior leaders are being sent to other districts.
Voting will be held on January 30 for the five seats of graduate and teacher section of the Legislative Council. SP has fielded Karunkant Maurya from Gorakhpur-Faizabad, Dr. Kamlesh Yadav from Kanpur, Shiv Pratap Singh Yadav from Bareilly-Moradabad and SP Patel from Allahabad-Jhansi and Priyanka from Kanpur in teacher’s block.
The party has made old pension restoration, caste census, rising educated unemployment, large-scale reduction in railway and army jobs etc. a major issue. SP’s state president Naresh Uttam Patel will go to the major election districts. He will hold talks with senior party leaders, MLAs, former MLAs and other leaders in the district offices and appeal to press for the elections. It will start from Kanpur Nagar on January 19.
Kanpur Dehat on 20th, Orai (Jalaun) and Hamirpur on 21st, Unnao on 23rd, Shahjahanpur on 24th, Bareilly on 25th January, Moradabad on 26th January. Similarly, different leaders are being sent to other districts as well, who will coordinate with the local leaders and appeal to bring voters to the booths.
