The police remand of Wang Xuanju, a Chinese national caught on the India-Nepal border, has been extended till February 28. Security agencies have got many important information in the interrogation. The police team also took him to Delhi. Inquiries so far have revealed that Palia had come by bike from Banagwan Mandi located at Wang border. He spent the night in a ruin. Then after getting 200 US dollars converted into Indian currency through a trader, he went to Delhi.
On Thursday, after taking Chinese national Wang Xuanju, who was caught on 17 February 2023 at Gauriphanta border in Lakhimpur Kheri, on remand for the second time for three days, the police took him to Delhi. The ATS and IB team that came from Lucknow took him to Delhi and interrogated him. Since he was caught while returning from Delhi to Nepal, the security agencies interrogated him by taking him to places in Delhi that he had visited.
The remand of the Chinese national was ending at 2.30 pm on Friday. The police produced Wang in the CJM court and sought four more days’ remand for further questioning. CJM Ashok Kumar passed the order extending the police custody remand of the Chinese national for the third time from 2.30 pm on 24th February till 2.30 pm on 28th February. The court has warned the police that the responsibility of the Chinese citizen will be completely of the discretion. Apart from this, the court has also ordered for video recording of the interrogation.
