In the Azamgarh district of UP, the police has wreaked havoc on the criminals. The prize scumbag was injured after being shot in a police encounter late on Friday night in Raunapar police station area. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. This is the fourth encounter within 72 hours.
The Azamgarh police has been running an encounter-like operation in the district for the last three-four days. Members of the vicious inter-tribal gang of thieves are continuously being injured in encounters and arrested. In an encounter near Bardiha village on Friday night, inter-state thief Shehzade alias Chhedi, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000, was injured. He has a bullet wound in his right leg. The police have admitted him to the hospital for treatment.

Disclosing the matter, District SP City Shailendra Lal said that in the encounter in Mubarakpur area, four miscreants were arrested while six were absconding. Two miscreants involved in these absconding miscreants were caught in an encounter in the Kotwali area of the city. On the same day an encounter also took place in Phulpur Kotwali area in which a miscreant was caught.
