It will be characterized by being warm in winter and cool in summer. Not only this, the clothes prepared from it will also be anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Meerut’s young entrepreneur Ayush Singh is about to start this unique startup.
Ayush told that he has started the process of making a different and attractive use of the whole plant of cannabis. This will not only increase the income of the farmers cultivating it, but will also increase the demand. So far this experiment is done only in China. He told that fibers are extracted from the stem of the cannabis plant.
This turns them into raw yarn. Then they prepare it in the form of clothes. It also makes towels, mats and shirt-pants. Bamboo or cotton can also be mixed in this. Ayush himself was wearing clothes prepared from it. He told that its price is 700-800 rupees.
Ayush explains that the fabric prepared from it being anti-fungal does not cause bacteria in it. It remains cool in summer and warm in winter. This is the reason why the Chinese army also uses it. Ayush told that he has registered a startup company named Bharat Hemp Agro Private Limited two years ago and has also approved the project with the state government. It is currently being incubated at the Innovation Hub of AKTU.
