Gautam Buddha Nagar / Lucknow : India-Africa relations are a wonderful example of coincidental relations. Solidarity against colonialism, the true spirit of cooperation among developing countries has been the cornerstone of the strong Indo-African continent relations. We know that the feelings of world welfare that have always been expressed in the Indian mind can become the medium of world welfare even today. The expression of Indian Manisha represents the expressions of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. India has always been following this and strengthening the spirit of world brotherhood. Hackathon is also a symbol of this public welfare policy of ours. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said these things while inaugurating the UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon organized in Gautam Buddha Nagar. On this occasion, he also saw the cultural parade of Indo-African countries.

Uttar Pradesh is the land of Shri Ram, Shri Krishna and Buddha

While welcoming the delegates and students from many countries of Africa, Chief Minister Yogi said that India never established dominance over anyone on the strength of the sword. Highlighting India’s policy in the United Nations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in very clear words, India has not given war to the world but Buddha. India has given the message of peace to the whole world. The saga of Lord Shriram expresses the true ideals of human life before the world community. The worship of Lord Rama and the influence of Ramayana is well known in Mauritius of African continent. Uttar Pradesh is the land of Lord Shri Ram, Shri Krishna and Mahatma Buddha.

India-Africa relations are touching new heights

Talking about the cordiality of India’s relations with South Africa, Yogi Adityanath said that the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi started his non-violent movement against the British Empire from South Africa. Former South African President Nelson Mandela, considering Mahatma Gandhi as his ideal and based on non-violence, started a campaign against apartheid and ended the discriminatory system. In India his name is taken with utmost respect. Presently, in the form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the relations between India and the continent of Africa are attaining new heights. Cheetahs, recently extinct from India, were released in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh in September 2022. These cheetahs were brought from the African country Namibia only.

Hackathon will run for 36 hours

Highlighting the importance of the hackathon, CM Yogi said that India is establishing new dimensions of cooperation and partnership with Africa. In this episode, the first edition of UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon is being organized. This 36-hour hackathon is being organized till 25 November. More than 400 students and delegates from 22 countries are present here to participate in this hackathon. All the students, together with the students of India, will try to make solutions on different problem statements through different teams. The event also provides an opportunity for students from Africa to take advantage of new opportunities of innovation in various fields of education and life in India. They will also conceptualize and structure innovative technology based solutions during the hackathon. This event is in line with the intention of PM Modi. PM Modi believes that there should be participation of youth in the overall solution of the widespread problems of the mainstream.

State government promoting innovation and startup

Regarding the unlimited possibilities in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi said that at present Uttar Pradesh is included in the leading states of the country. Big entrepreneurs and international companies from the country and abroad are investing a large amount in the state. The state government has fixed several focus centres. This includes startups, IT, electronics, agro food processing, dairy, textile, renewable energy etc. Uttar Pradesh’s One District One Product Scheme is currently emerging as a startup and working to deliver exclusive and famous products to the masses. This scheme is not only giving a new identity to the districts of the state, but is also providing employment opportunities to lakhs of youth. The state government is determined to promote innovation and startups. Our policy is also clear in this regard. Through initiatives like Startups, Incubators, Mentorship, Center of Entrepreneurship, Innovation Hubs, Uttar Pradesh is determined to establish an enabling, advanced and innovative start-up ecosystem. Similarly, hackathons not only provide a strong foundation to the startup culture, but also make a positive impact on the lives of the students. Through Hackathon, children make new innovations using technology, which can provide a new direction to the country by becoming start-ups in the future.

State is moving towards world class startup ecosystem

Regarding innovation and startup, CM Yogi said that at present India has created a unique identity on the world stage through innovation and startup. Our country has become a unique country in the start-up world. Unicorns i.e. startups with a valuation of more than one billion dollars are emerging rapidly. Due to this the country’s economy is not only getting strengthened, our youth are also getting new employment opportunities in large numbers. Under the guidance of PM Modi, Uttar Pradesh is fast moving towards establishing a world-class startup ecosystem by providing a conducive policy environment while developing strong infrastructure. Uttar Pradesh is included in the top-5 states of the country in the list of big states under the performer category of India Innovation Index 2021 released by NITI Aayog. We are going full force to reach the top position very soon.

CM Yogi appealed to the guests who came to the state and said that I request all the respected guests that after this hackathon, you visit India’s special heritage Kashi, Mathura, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Agra etc. in the state and our rich cultural heritage. Also get introduced to. The kind of talent and innovation that all of you youths are blessed with, I hope that together we can solve various problems for the betterment of the society and Antyodaya.
