Police and STF teams are raiding Kolkata and Khidirpur in search of shooters. Searches were also conducted at Kolkata Port. Checked many hotels and lodges in Khidirpur. On the other hand, taking an important decision regarding the investigation of Umesh Pal murder case, the state government has put DIG Anantdev on duty in STF.
Hundreds of mobile numbers of the city have been put on surveillance in search of the shooters of the Umesh Pal murder case. The numbers of the people whose names have appeared in the CDR of the shooters along with those close to Atiq have been put on surveillance.
So far two shooters have been killed in the Umesh Pal murder case. Atiq’s son’s drivers Arbaaz and Umesh Pal and Vijay Chaudhary alias Usman, who fired first shot at their gunner, were killed in the encounter. Arbaz was killed in an encounter at Nehru Park in Dhumanganj area while Usman was killed in an encounter at Gonthi village under Kaundhiyara police station area.
DIG Anant Dev Tiwari was attached to STF
Regarding the investigation of Umesh Pal murder case of Prayagraj, the state government has taken an important decision to put DIG Anant Dev Tiwari on temporary duty in STF. DIG Anant Dev in Prayagraj GRP has already held the responsibility of many important posts in STF.
It is believed that Anant Dev has been given this responsibility because of the search for the shooters who killed Umesh Pal. During his stay in STF, Anant Dev has killed many dreaded dacoits and notorious criminals in encounters. He was suspended because of the Bikru incident in Kanpur. The state government had posted him in GRP after reinstating him a few months back.
