Vijay Chowdhary alias Usman, who was killed in an encounter in Gonthi village of Kaundhiyara, Prayagraj, was very vicious. Within just two years, he had progressed so far in the gang that he started meeting Atiq and Ashraf directly. Before the incident, he had gone to Bareilly jail to meet Ashraf.
Before that he had reached Sabarmati Jail to meet Atiq. Usman promised both of them that he would single-handedly kill Umesh and the soldiers. It was Vijay who fired the first bullet at Umesh and constable Sandeep.
Vijay Chowdhary alias Usman met Ghulam about two years back. When he got new weapons, very soon he started hitting the target accurately. When Ghulam told Ateeq and Ashraf about Vijay, Ghulam made them talk about Vijay several times. Gradually the stature of Vijay increased in the Atiq gang. He came to be called Osman. Vijay’s identity in the gang remained as Usman.
A few months ago, when the plan was prepared to eliminate Umesh in Sabarmati Jail, a big role was decided for Vijay. After this he was given a pistol along with the iPhone. 50 thousand rupees were also given. Osman was also very happy with his growing role in the gang.
