In Gorakhpur, with the help of Trinetra (CCTV cameras), the police is able to put the miscreants behind bars within a few days. In the last ten months, the police has been successful in cracking 488 cases of Gorakhpur range with the help of CCTV cameras. Not only this, after opening the case with the help of cameras, the footage is also being used as scientific evidence. This will be beneficial in getting the accused punished.
ADG Akhil Kumar started Operation Trinetra with the help of public representatives, businessmen and elite people and started installing cameras at various places. As a result, cameras have been installed at 176 places in Gorakhpur city. Now with the help of Pradhans, it is being planted in villages also. The ADG has now directed the police to speed up the camera campaign in every house. The ADG goes there and also honors the family, whose house cameras are used to reveal the incidents.
