On Monday morning on the Sherpur-Taronda road in Kanpur Dehat, the bag of a Class 1 student going to school on foot got stuck in the hook attached to the pickup truck. Due to this he kept on dragging for 20 meters. After this, the innocent died due to the rear wheel of the pickup passing over. After the accident, the passers-by and the people around caught hold of the pickup and the driver and handed them over to the police.

Laxman alias Pawan (8), son of Deshraj, a resident of Chitikpur in Raniya, studies in a council school. On Monday he was going to school with elder sister Chandni. At the same time, Laxman’s bag got stuck in the pickup going from the highway towards Sherpur village. Due to this, he got trapped in the pickup and dragged for about 20 meters. Meanwhile, after falling on the road, the rear wheel of the pickup ran over him.
