New Delhi : The Legislature of Maharashtra has two halls. The issue which has been in the news for the past two and a half years among the politicians of the state is the issue of appointment of 12 members nominated by the Governor to be appointed on the advice of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers. When the Maha Vikas Aghadi government headed by Uddhav Thackeray was in power, he would have handed over 12 Navanchi list to Governor Bhagatisingh Koshyari in November 2020. The case went to the court because the Governor did not take a decision. The Bombay High Court also did not give instructions to the Governor in this matter, but he should take a decision, he was removed. Ratan Soli Luth of Nashik, who filed a public interest litigation against the Bombay High Court Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, would have appealed to the Supreme Court against the decision given by the High Court on August 13, 2021. The hearing of the appeal in the Supreme Court was over today. Today’s hearing in the Supreme Court has revealed a lot of information. The petitioners have applied for a petition against the Governor, and after the decision of the Supreme Court in the next hearing, the 12 MLAs appointed by the Governor will be cleared. The hearing on Turtas or the case has been adjourned till February.

The Supreme Court would have fixed the hearing of the petition on 14th December after the hearing held on 16th November. Before today’s hearing, on 13th December, Ratan Soli Luth has applied for a petition against Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

The Supreme Court has kept the adjournment till February 7 regarding the petition of MLAs appointed by the Governor. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari will not get any decision regarding appointment till then, Supreme Court has given such order. Today’s functioning of the Supreme Court expressed its displeasure for the person of incidental position working in such a manner.
