This year, one in three families have deliberate to spend more than Rs 10,000 on festivals. According to a survey report by neighborhood social media platform LocalCircles, almost half of those will store from shops, malls and markets. Due to this, the foot fall in store-mall is anticipated to increase by 20%.

According to the report, this year, about 52% more will be spent in festivals than last year’s festive season, however 13% much less than what was spent earlier than Kovid i.e. in 2019. The good factor is that 65% of the households surveyed mentioned that they’ve ready to spend between Rs 2,000 to Rs 1 lakh on festivals. More than 58,000 folks from 362 districts took half in this survey.

Sachin Tapadia, Founder and Chairman, LocalCircles mentioned that 33% of households are prepared to spend between Rs 10,000 and Rs 1 lakh for these festivals. But, there are additionally 35% families who shouldn’t have cash to spend further on festivals.
