Due to incessant rains in Muzaffarnagar, the ongoing Agniveer recruitment examination at Chaudhary Charan Singh Sports Stadium has been hampered. The recruitment of Ghaziabad Sadar and Modinagar Tehsil to be held on Saturday has been postponed. Now this recruitment will be on 12 October. Earlier, from Friday evening itself, a lot of candidates from Ghaziabad district had arrived to be a part of the recruitment.
After midnight, the youth had queued up outdoors the exhibition camp on Meerut Road. Army officers waited until the morning for the rain to cease and the floor to be cleared. But the recruitment had to be postponed for a day.
