In the case of kidnapping and rape of two real sisters nine years ago, the court of Additional Sessions Judge/Special Judge Paxo Act Niharika Chauhan has sentenced the culprit to life imprisonment. While hearing the matter on Thursday, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the convict. In default of payment of fine, he will have to undergo additional imprisonment of six months. Both the victims will get the full amount of the fine.
According to the prosecution, a village resident of Duddhi Kotwali area had given a complaint in Anpara police station on January 27, 2014 that his two daughters aged 18 and 10 were missing since November 25, 2013. Both the daughters had left the house for Anpara.
After investigation, it was found that Dhananjay Singh, a resident of Samastipur district of Bihar, who works in electrical mechanical at Anpara D plant, has seduced her for marriage. Police registered a case on Tahrir and recovered both the sisters. After taking his statement, the section was increased.
