The Allahabad High Court has sought the progress report of the ongoing investigation in the Rs 68,000 crore Shine City scam. The court has said that to what extent what it has said in its previous order has been complied with, its report should be filed on an affidavit. A division bench of Acting Justice Pritinkar Diwakar and Justice SD Singh was hearing the petition of Shriram Ram.

On this, the court wanted to know the situation from Additional Advocate General Arguing on behalf of UP Government and Additional Solicitor General Shashi Prakash, appearing for Central Government.

The Additional Solicitor General said that a red corner notice has been issued by the CBI. His advocate is present here. On this, the court said that the CBI is also under your control. You should have complete knowledge about the investigation.

On this, the court asked that when the Additional Advocate General is saying that the number of the main accused has been traced and he is in Dubai, then why did you not do it there.

On this it was said that the Interpol Headquarters has been informed. The court said what happened after informing? Who is looking into this matter from the Central Government. The court also wanted to know the status of extradition of accused Rashid Naseem. Was told that the process is going on. On this, the court said that the report of compliance of the order dated January 31 should be presented on the next hearing. The court has fixed March 22 as the date for hearing the matter.
