Additional Municipal Commissioner Sumit Kumar told that despite protests all were removed. Many times they were asked to shift the shops, but they were not removing their shops. Today they were removed. Their belongings have been kept at Dashashwamedh Plaza.



180 shopkeepers are being shifted to Dashashwamedh Plaza by Municipal Corporation and VDA. Former councilor Shankar Vishnani said that all the 35 shops were allotted to the refugees of Sindhi community since 1950.


Shankar Vishnani said that the administration should have taken action after Holi. People’s Holi has been spoiled by using bulldozers. They were destroyed in the name of G20.


Dashashwamedh Gumti businessmen under the leadership of Vyapar Mandal President Ajit Singh Bagga, Ranjan Kohli and Dilip Tulsyani met Additional Municipal Commissioner Sumit Kumar at the Municipal Corporation. The people of the business board told their problems.


He said that between Dashashwamedh Ghat and Rajendra Prasad Ghat, he earns his family’s livelihood by selling goods at Gumti for 35 years. They are being removed by the Municipal Corporation. Additional Municipal Commissioner assured them to give shops at another place.
