Due to cold wave and extreme cold, all schools up to class 12th in Ballia district will now remain closed till January 14. Schools till 8th are already closed till 14th January. DIOS Ramesh Singh issued an order in this regard on Monday late evening. This order will be applicable to all primary schools, CBSE board, ICSE board and Madarsa board etc.
This decision has been taken due to extreme cold. The District School Inspector has ordered in this regard that strict action will be taken against the schools that do not follow the orders. The weather has been very cold for the past several days. The cold westerly winds made people shiver. The maximum temperature is also dropping, but the minimum temperature is reaching six degrees Celsius. In the event of the school being closed, the mobiles of all principals, clerks and class IV employees will remain switched on continuously, so that tasks can be completed in any unavoidable situation. There is no restriction on the functioning of the schools in which pre-board examinations are being conducted. The school management will make proper arrangements for protection from cold for the students. The pre-board examinations and practical examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education will be held at their scheduled time.
